Mikel Arteta is expected to name a strong XI when Arsenal face up against Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday morning in preparation for the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
The only players yet to join the squad following their involvement in the 2024 Euros are William Saliba, Declan Rice, David Raya, Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale, with plenty of other stars already returning.
Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz are among those who have returned to the side, with all three coming off the bench in the comeback victory against Manchester United last time out, and they are expected to come into the starting 11 here.
Belgium's Leandro Trossard is another to have already returned, but the forward could drop out of the side in favour of Martinelli with Arteta looking to share the minutes across the squad.
Karl Hein has played every minute of Arsenal's pre-season so far due to the continued absence of both Raya and Ramsdale, and the 22-year-old is expected to start in goal once again against Liverpool.
Seventeen-year-old duo Ayden Heaven and Ethan Nwaneri have started against Bournemouth and Man United, delivering impressive performances in both of those matches, and the pair are likely to get valuable minutes in this one.
Reiss Nelson featured in all of the Gunners' friendly matches to this point, but the forward may drop out of the squad for the Liverpool game due to speculation of a potential move away from the London club.
Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Hein; White, Timber, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Jorginho, Nwaneri; Jesus, Havertz, Martinelli
