Germany's Olympic football coach Horst Hrubesch has criticised Arsenal for what he perceives as being a 'lack of faith' shown in youngster Serge Gnabry.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign in the men's tournament so far in Rio, scoring three times in two games to keep his side in Group C contention.

Gnabry has appeared just nine times for club side Arsenal in the Premier League, however, and spent time on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season where he was given a total of 12 minutes' playing time.

Speaking to sport1.de, Hrubesch said: "He's shown what he can do to everybody. I'm just annoyed that he is never shown this faith by his club."

Gnabry joined the Arsenal academy ranks in 2011 and is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until the end of this coming season.
