Team News: Jack Wilshere back as Arsenal make three changes

Jack Wilshere returns as Arsenal make three changes for the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion, while Aaron Ramsey is left out of the 18-man squad altogether.

Jack Wilshere has shaken off an ankle injury to return to Arsenal's starting lineup for this afternoon's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The England international missed the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday evening, but is back as one of three changes at the Amex Stadium.

Alex Iwobi and Calum Chambers are also restored, with Aaron Ramsey among those to drop out of the side - boss Arsene Wenger putting that down to fatigue, rather than fresh speculation surrounding the midfielder's future.

Danny Welbeck and Hector Bellerin also make way from the latest thrashing at the hands of Man City, both of whom are among the subs ahead of the upcoming trip to AC Milan in the Europa League.

In terms of the hosts, who have won just two of their previous 16 meetings with Arsenal, they remain unchanged following last weekend's 4-1 victory over Swansea City.

Steve Sidwell is the only player currently unavailable for Chris Hughton, so the Brighton boss has decided to stick with a winning formula on home soil.

In-form striker Glenn Murray leads the Seagulls' line this afternoon, aiming to build on a run of five goals in his last five outings in all competitions.

Brighton & Hove Albion: Ryan; Schelotto, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; Stephens, Propper, Knockaert, Izquierdo, Gross; Murray
Subs: Krul, Goldson, Bruno, Kayal, March, Ulloa, Locadia

Arsenal: Cech; Koscielny, Mustafi, Chambers; Iwobi, Wilshere, Xhaka, Kolasinac; Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang
Subs: Ospina, Holding, Welbeck, Bellerin, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Nketiah
