How Arsenal could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta should have all but one of his troops available for Saturday's Premier League showdown with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Gunners head north reeling from Wednesday's heartbreaking 1-0 Champions League quarter-final second-leg loss to Bayern Munich, where Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka both shook off knocks to feature.

As a result, only ACL victim Jurrien Timber was missing from the matchday squad through injury, and that should again be the case here, although a comeback before the end of the campaign is still on.

For the most part, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes excelled in front of David Raya at the Allianz Arena, so the pair ought to reprise their roles in front of the Spaniard as Arsenal seek a sixth successive league clean sheet on the road.

Takehiro Tomiyasu also impressed on the left in midweek, but he could now switch flanks if Arteta grants Ben White a well-earned rest, allowing the refreshed Jakub Kiwior to take his spot on the left.

Odegaard and Declan Rice will no doubt link up in the engine room unless Bayern fatigue proves too taxing to overcome, but there is scope for Thomas Partey to earn a rare start in the deepest position over Jorginho.

Both Saka and Gabriel Martinelli left a lot to be desired in Munich, although the former was being marshalled by two defenders in Raphael Guerreiro and Noussair Mazraoui and will likely keep his place given a lack of alternative options with regular minutes.

However, Arteta could immediately axe Martinelli from the XI for Leandro Trossard, while Gabriel Jesus will also put his name in the hat to replace Kai Havertz in the number nine spot.

Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Raya; Tomiyasu, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Jesus, Trossard body check tags ::
