How Arsenal could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ahead of Arsenal's trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sports Mole looks at how the Gunners could line up at Molineux.

Arsenal face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday evening, aiming to maintain their perfect Premier League record at Molineux.

The Gunners have won all four of their previous Prem trips to Wolves and are without defeat against the West Midlands outfit in all competitions since September 1979.

Unai Emery's men head into the midweek clash on the back of a disappointing 3-2 loss at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, which saw the Spaniard make seven changes to his starting lineup.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up against Wolves.

Out: Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Hector Bellerin (knee), Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle)
Doubtful: Granit Xhaka (hip), Denis Suarez (groin)

Laurent Koscielny, Sead Kolasinac, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were the four survivors between Arsenal's win at Napoli and defeat at home to Palace.

One of Aubameyang or Lacazette could make way on Wednesday to free up room for Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in attacking midfield.

Aubameyang has been directly involved in 10 goals in his eight Premier League appearances against promoted sides, scoring seven and assisting three, possibly seeing him get the nod.

Iwobi was a half-time sub against Palace, as was Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who should also return to the starting lineup.

Elsewhere, Sokratis Papastathopoulos is back from a two-match domestic ban and should replace Shkodran Mustafi, who produced a terrible display at the weekend.

With Ramsey already confirmed out, Emery is hopeful of having Xhaka back from a hip complaint that ruled him out of his side's last outing. If not, Matteo Guendouzi will retain his place in central midfield.
