Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu are absent from the Arsenal squad for Thursday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers

Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both absent from the Arsenal squad to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in Thursday's Premier League clash.

The former reportedly missed training earlier this week for unexplained reasons, and the returning Gabriel Martinelli therefore takes his place on the left.

Tomiyasu was fit enough to return to the bench against Brentford following his calf problem but is now out entirely, as Cedric Soares continues in an unchanged Gunners backline.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka man the midfield as expected, and there is also a first appearance on the bench for right-back Zak Swanson as Tomiyasu misses out.

Omari Hutchinson joins his fellow prospect among the substitutes, with Alexandre Lacazette given the nod up top again alongside Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Lacazette
