Arsenal have only confirmed one summer signing so far, with Marquinhos joining from Sao Paulo for a £3m fee, but more are expected to follow the 19-year-old through the door.
Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira's arrivals are set to be announced in due course, and work is continuing behind the scenes on deals for big-name targets.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest Arsenal transfer news, including updates on Raphinha, Gabriel Jesus and a young duo heading out on loan.
Arsenal to announce Jesus this week?
Arsenal may reportedly be ready to announce the signing of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus later this week.
The Brazil international is about to enter the final 12 months of his deal with the Premier League champions and is understood to be at the top of the Gunners' attacking wishlist.
Man City are still driving a hard bargain for Jesus - £50m to be exact - and the Gunners are said to have already seen a £30m offer for the 25-year-old rebuffed.
However, Goal reports that Arsenal are confident of meeting Man City's demands, and the Gunners could confirm Jesus's signing in the coming days if all goes to plan.
A new proposal including achievable add-ons could be included to help Arsenal hit City's £50m mark, beating the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Chelsea to his signature in the process.
Gunners step up Raphinha pursuit
After his 11 goals and three assists helped Leeds United secure a third straight season of Premier League football, interest in Brazilian wing king Raphinha is rife.
The 25-year-old has allegedly already agreed personal terms with Barcelona over a five-year contract, but he is not prepared to wait for the Blaugrana if they fail to meet Leeds' asking price.
As a result, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have entered "direct negotiations" with the Whites over a deal for Raphinha, who is out of contract in 2024.
Leeds will not accept anything less than €65m (£55.9m) for the former Rennes man, though, and they could even demand as much as €75m (£64.5m) to sanction a sale.
Tottenham Hotspur also continue to be credited with an interest in Raphinha, who has scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists in 67 outings for Leeds since his 2020 arrival.
Young duo head for Eredivise
The famed Hale End academy at Arsenal continues to produce some star names, but two have not been deemed ready for the step-up to Arteta's first team just yet.
Twenty-year-old defender Omar Rekik is one of two Under-23s players to be heading for the Eredivisie, and his loan move to Sparta Rotterdam was confirmed yesterday.
Rekik has already represented Tunisia in the Africa Cup of Nations, and the centre-back will hope that the loan move can boost his chances of a World Cup call-up.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old striker Mika Biereth is expected to complete a temporary switch to RKC Waalwijk after scoring 11 goals in 21 Premier League 2 appearances last season.
The Danish teenager could then potentially join an English club on loan for the 2023-24 season as he attempts to follow Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah's paths into the first team.
