Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi is reportedly set to sign a new deal with the club.

He has been a prominent figure in Frank Lampard's side this season, starting all 15 of Everton's Premier League matches.

Iwobi has scored one goal and registered more Premier League assists than any other Everton player, with five to his name this term.

With his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024, Iwobi's impressive performances have seemingly earned him a new deal.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Iwobi is expected to sign a new long-term contract with the Merseyside club.

The report claims that it is only a matter of time before the Nigeria international puts pen to paper, with talks believed to be at an advanced stage.

Since arriving from Arsenal in 2019, Iwobi has scored eight goals and provided 13 assists in 114 appearances for Everton.
