Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in Leicester City's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but Brighton & Hove Albion are already in talks with the Foxes.

Arsenal are allegedly among the teams to have shown an interest in signing Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The 25-year-old rose to prominence with the Foxes during their doomed 2022-23 Premier League season, but his efforts were ultimately futile in the fight against the drop.

Dewsbury-Hall remained loyal to Leicester over the summer transfer window, and with Enzo Maresca at the helm, the Englishman has enjoyed his most prolific season to date.

From 27 Championship fixtures, Dewsbury-Hall has registered nine goals and an identical number of assists for the Foxes, who are seemingly Premier League-bound as they sit seven points clear at the top of the table.

After cementing himself as a Leicester regular in the 2021-22 campaign, Dewsbury-Hall penned a new long-term deal at the King Power Stadium, which does not expire for another three and a half years.

However, Leicester could be fighting a losing battle to retain Dewsbury-Hall's services this summer, as according to The Athletic, as many as four existing Premier League teams are chasing a late January deal.

Among the quartet of top-flight clubs, Brighton & Hove Albion are said to be at the head of the queue and have already begun talks with Leicester over a transfer before the winter window closes on February 1.

Leicester have no need to accept a cut-price fee for the 25-year-old given his contract situation, but the report claims that a fee of £30m will be considered by the Championship leaders in the coming days.

Brighton supposedly have no intention of bowing to Leicester's £30m demands, but the Seagulls remain in discussions with their second-tier counterparts, and Roberto De Zerbi would value the addition of Dewsbury-Hall to his squad.

The opportunity to play in the Europa League also appeals to Dewsbury-Hall, although with Brighton yet to strike an agreement with Leicester, Champions League-competing Arsenal supposedly remain in the frame.

The Gunners could be parting ways with a few ageing midfielders this summer, as Mohamed Elneny and Jorginho are both out of contract at the end of the season and are unlikely to be offered extensions.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey - who has just returned to team training after undergoing a thigh operation in November - sees his deal expire in 2025 and has been strongly linked with a switch to Juventus as a replacement for Paul Pogba.

Brentford and Fulham have apparently expressed an interest in Dewsbury-Hall too, but the West London rivals are considered outside contenders due to their lack of continental football.

Dewsbury-Hall has been with Leicester since 2006 and has now made 111 appearances for the Foxes in all tournaments, scoring 14 goals and providing the same number of assists.

The midfielder was not involved in the Foxes' run to FA Cup glory in the 2020-21 season, though, as he enjoyed a successful loan spell with Luton Town that year. body check tags ::
