Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Neto, having seen discussions with Sheffield United over Aaron Ramsdale break down.
The Gunners are not believed to be prepared to play Ramsdale's asking price of £30m plus add-ons, which will see the North London club look elsewhere for a new stopper.
Neto has been linked with Mikel Arteta's side over the course of the summer transfer window, and according to The Guardian, the Premier League side are now considering a move.
The report claims that Arteta is desperate to sign a new goalkeeper to compete with Bernd Leno, and Neto is viewed as an attractive proposition due to his experience.
The 32-year-old - also linked with Everton - has been at Camp Nou since 2019 but has only made 17 appearances for the Catalan giants, as he is second choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the sticks.
Ter Stegen's injury is likely to see Neto start the new campaign as the number one, though, which could make it difficult for Arsenal to sign him over the next couple of weeks. body check tags ::
