Arsenal are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
With Bernd Leno and Alex Runarsson's futures at the club still uncertain, Mikel Arteta is thought to be eyeing reinforcements in between the sticks.
The Gunners were originally believed to have been put off by Sheffield United's £32m asking price for Ramsdale, leading them to identify Neto and Andre Onana as alternative options.
However, football.london claims that Arsenal are now closing in on the signing of Ramsdale having agreed to fork out a fee of £30m for the Englishman, with two previous offers coming up short.
The report adds that the Gunners will pay an initial £24m with add-ons to reach the Blades' £30m valuation after Ramsdale was left out of Sheffield United's squad for their EFL Cup clash with Carlisle, although Slavisa Jokanovic played down the 23-year-old's absence.
Ramsdale started all 38 Premier League matches for Sheffield United last season, keeping five clean sheets and conceding 63 goals. body check tags ::
