Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Brazilian outfit Corinthians over a deal for out-of-favour attacker Willian.
The 33-year-old has failed to make his mark at the Emirates since arriving from Chelsea last summer, registering just one goal in 37 appearances during the 2020-21 season.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe all preferred out wide to Willian, the Brazil international is expected to end his ill-fated Arsenal stint before the summer transfer window closes.
The attacker still has just under two years left to run on his deal with Mikel Arteta's side, but Sky Sports News claims that Arsenal are in talks with Corinthians over a free transfer.
The report claims that Arsenal are happy to sanction the move in order to get Willian's wages off their books, and there is optimism on both sides that an agreement can be reached.
Willian has missed the Gunners' opening two Premier League games of the season after testing positive for coronavirus, and as a result he may have played his final game in red and white. body check tags ::
