Fulham winger Willian has confirmed he will make a decision over his future at the end of the season.
The Brazilian returned to the Premier League in the summer of 2022, joining Fulham on an initial one-year contract.
Willian allowed his deal to run down before he swiftly returned to the club, penning a new contract until the end of the 2023-24 season.
With his current deal set to expire on June 30, Willian has revealed that he is unsure about whether to extend his stay with the Cottagers.
As per Sport Witness, Willian told Trivela: "Fulham have already signalled that they want me to stay. They want me to stay, to renew my contract.
"But together with my agent, we've said that we'll only resolve this at the end of the season. I think the best way to do it at the moment is to tell them to wait, because I also have to decide if it's going to be here or if I'm going somewhere else, so I told them to wait a bit."
While there is uncertainty surrounding his future, the former Chelsea and Arsenal man is keen to stay in the English capital.
Willian said: "Staying in London, I think it would be good, it would be perfect. But I still haven't decided what my next step will be.
"As you said, I'm already 35, I'm coming to the end of my career. So you have to think very carefully about your decisions, what's going to be the best place, what's going to be the next step. But if I could, of course, stay in London, be in London, it would be good, it would be perfect."
Willian spent seven years with Fulham's West London neighbours Chelsea, registering 63 goals and 62 assists in 339 matches.
During his time with the Blues, he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, an EFL Cup and a Europa League trophy
The 35-year-old subsequently spent a year with Arsenal, before he rejoined Brazilian club Corinthians in the summer of 2021.
Since returning to the English top flight, Willian has made 60 competitive appearances for Fulham, contributing 10 goals and eight assists.
After starting Fulham's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, Willian is likely to be involved when Marco Silva's side face Sheffield United on Saturday. body check tags ::
