Arsenal have offered Lazio £2m to sign striker Miroslav Klose on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports.
The German international has emerged as a viable option for Arsene Wenger's side, as he looks to add to his strike force before the close of the transfer window.
According to The Metro, the Italian club initially refused to do business, and as a result, Arsenal have decided to offer a substantial loan fee in order to try to persuade them.
Klose has scored five goals in 13 matches this season for the Serie A outfit, and looks set to be included in the Germany squad for the World Cup later this year.
