Arsenal 'ready to pay Marc Cucurella release clause'

:Headline: Arsenal 'ready to pay Marc Cucurella release clause':
Arsenal are reportedly willing to meet the release clause of Barcelona defender Marc Cucurella, who is currently impressing at Getafe.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to win the race for Barcelona defender Marc Cucurella during the summer transfer window.

Soon after signing the left-sided player last year, Barcelona allowed the 21-year-old to link up with Getafe, where he has made 24 outings in La Liga.

While Cucurella could return to Camp Nou later in 2020, a release clause in the region of £21m makes him an attractive target for numerous clubs around Europe.

According to Sport Witness, the Gunners are willing to pay the required fee in a bid to fend off the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

Getafe are said to have plans to push through a deal for Cucurella, although much could depend on whether they secure a place in next season's Champions League.
