Barcelona have reportedly been told by Arsenal that they must pay Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's wages in full if they wish to finalise a loan deal.
Having fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, Aubameyang is free to depart the Gunners should they receive a suitable proposal.
Over the past 24 hours, Barcelona have emerged as the most likely destination for the Gabon international, who is already in Spain ahead of a possible transfer.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a deal is looking increasingly unlikely with Arsenal insisting that they will not pay a portion of the 32-year-old's wages.
Barcelona and the player have allegedly been left to come to an arrangement, rather than the Premier League giants helping facilitate a deal.
Much could also depend on whether Arsenal can find a direct replacement, with Mikel Arteta currently only having Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at his disposal. body check tags ::
