Juventus have had an £8m bid for Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie rejected, according to reports in Italy.
The Dutchman has not yet put pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, with only one year left on his current deal.
Manchester City are also thought to be preparing a big-money move for the 28-year-old, who notched 30 Premier League goals last season.
However, the Bianconeri have now made the first move, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Van Persie is due to hold talks with the Gunners in the next few weeks.
