Arsenal have signed highly-rated 16-year-old Tarum Dawkins from Luton Town for a "significant transfer fee".
Winger Dawkins is said to have attracted interest from 14 Premier League clubs and one Scottish outfit and has finally chosen the Gunners, who are known for their dedication to younger players.
"This deal has been a lot more drawn out than others completed by the club in the last two years, and this reflects the level of interest show in Tarum," Head of Youth Gregg Broughton told Luton's official website.
"He is very quick both with and without the football, can play off both feet and therefore he will fit in very well with Arsenal's style of play."
Boughton added: "We would like to thank Arsenal for the professional manner in which they have conducted themselves and wish Tarum the very best for his ongoing career."
Dawkins is not the first Luton youngster to sign for a Premier League club this season following Chelsea's capture of three brothers from the Hatters.
