Arsenal will reportedly battle it out with fellow Premier League side Southampton for the signing of Polish centre-back Sebastian Walukiewicz.
The 18-year-old is said to have caught the attention of Unai Emery and Mark Hughes, despite only making his first-team debut for Pogon Szczecin last year.
Walukiewicz is seen as one of the emerging talents on the continent thanks to his versatility, having also slotted into defensive midfield.
According to The Sun, Arsenal and Southampton sent scouts to watch the teenager up close against Miedz last week.
The report suggests that both teams returned with positive feedback on Walukiewicz, who has racked up 31 appearances across Poland's youth teams.
Espanyol and Chievo Verona are also believed to be weighing up an offer for the £1m-rated defender.
