Arsenal have remained hopeful of convincing striker Eddie Nketiah to remain at the club beyond the summer, according to a report.
The 22-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, leaving him free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club ahead of a free transfer move in the transfer window.
As a result, Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach are said to be one the sides interested in a move for the striker, according to the Daily Mail, along with Crystal Palace, who are not able to strike an agreement until his current deal expires in June.
However, the report does also outline how the Gunners still retain hope of persuading the Chelsea academy product to remain at the Emirates Stadium for the 2022-23 campaign and beyond.
Although, Nketiah's desire to play regular first-team football is one that Arsenal accept they may not be able to fulfil, but believe there is still hope given a final decision has not yet been made on his next destination.
Nketiah made just his second Premier League start of the season on Wednesday evening, with Arsenal coming out 4-2 winners against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, a game in which Nketiah netted his first two league goals of the campaign. body check tags ::
