Arsenal may allegedly look to raise funds through the sales of three squad members during the January transfer window.

The Gunners have been left off the pace in the race for the Premier League title, already sitting nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

Although injuries have played a part in the progress of Mikel Arteta's side, only possessing the seventh-best attacking record in the division is arguably the pivotal statistic.

Only one player - Kai Havertz - has netted more than three goals in the Premier League, the North Londoners also heavily reliant on seven assists from Bukayo Saka.

As a result, adding another attack-minded player, whether that be a winger, number 10 or centre-forward, has become a realistic possibility for the midway point of the campaign.

However, for that to be achieved, Arteta may be forced to cash in on players who are not regarded as an important part of his plans going forward.

Which three players could Arsenal sell?

According to Football Insider, who are citing former scout Mick Brown as a source, Arsenal may look to sell Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus when the market reopens in six weeks time.

Speaking to the outlet, Brown said: "There are three players at the club they'd be looking to sell.

"And that's Gabriel Jesus, Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney. They're not in the manager's plans. When it comes to sales, you have to look at who your assets are.

"If they feel they need to raise money, they've got these players who they're far more likely to turn to. That'll take a big chunk off of the wage bill and help them to reinvest in strengthening their squad."

No way back for all three?

When Zinchenko and Jesus arrived from Manchester City in 2022, they were immediately recognised as players ready to slot into the starting lineup.

Come 2024-25 and the pair have managed just one Premier League start apiece. Jesus, in particular, has remained fit for the majority of fixtures, making a further eight substitute appearances.

Their versatility in different positions means that they will remain valuable players as long as they remain at the Emirates Stadium, yet their asking prices will only decrease if they remain on their current trajectory.

Meanwhile, Tierney has not made a single appearance all season due to the hamstring injury that he sustained while representing Scotland at Euro 2024. body check tags ::
