Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as a possible signing for the summer transfer window.
During January, Wenger brought in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund respectively, but it appears that the Gunners boss wants to continue the Dortmund connection.
Dembele replaced Mkhitaryan at the German side when Mkhitaryan left for United but last summer, Dembele made the switch to Barcelona in a transfer which cost £96.8m.
However, according to Calciomercato, Wenger wants to reunite Dembele with former teammate Aubameyang at the Emirates Stadium after his slow start to life at Camp Nou.
Injury has restricted the 20-year-old to just three starts and five substitute appearances in all competitions, and it appears that Arsenal are looking to see if Barcelona have a long-term plan for the player.
Dembele's contract runs until 2022, but Barcelona moved to sign Philippe Coutinho at the start of 2018 and the Brazilian's arrival could potentially restrict his time in the starting lineup.
