Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Francis Coquelin will be offered a new contract at the Emirates.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder, who has been sent on numerous loan stints, has had a decent spell in the Gunners' first team.
As a reward, Coquelin, who has been an Arsenal player since joining the youth system in 2008, will be given fresh terms.
"I saw that he made huge improvements in training so I sent him on loan for match practice," Wenger told reporters. "He took that challenge and he's done very well. We will offer him a new deal."
Coquelin has had spells at Lorient, SC Freiburg and Charlton Athletic.
