Arsenal to offload six players in January?

:Headline: Arsenal to offload six players in January?:
Arsenal reportedly hope to sell six out-of-favour players in January, with the Gunners keen to garner fees for soon-to-be free agents.

Arsenal are reportedly hoping to do away with no fewer than six players in the January transfer window.

The Gunners have enjoyed a revival of sorts under Mikel Arteta in recent weeks but are still expected to be active in the market over the winter period.

A number of players will see their contracts expire in the summer of 2022, and Arsenal are supposedly keen to garner fees for several soon-to-be free agents while they still can.

According to football.london, Alexandre Lacazette and Bernd Leno are among the senior players who could be on their way out, even though the former has fought his way back into the first XI.

The report adds that Eddie Nketiah, Sead Kolasinac, Mohamed Elneny and Folarin Balogun could also seek pastures new, with the latter recently admitting that he would be open to a departure.

Nketiah, Elneny and Kolasinac are also due to become free agents at the end of the campaign, while Leno's deal expires in 2023. body check tags ::
