Arsenal are reportedly ready to rival Manchester City in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

Having failed to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, the Gunners will sign at least one new frontman during the summer.

A number of players have been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium, including Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak.

However, according to Calciomercato, the North London outfit may rival Manchester City for Martinez later in 2022.

The Argentina international was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last year before penning a new contract at San Siro.

Arsenal will almost certainly have to qualify for next season's Champions League to be regarded as a realistic option for Martinez, who has netted 11 times in 29 outings in Serie A and the Champions League this campaign. body check tags ::
