Arsenal are reportedly expecting to have both Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber on the plane for their pre-season tour of the United States, with the squad due to depart on Sunday.

The Gunners are yet to officially announce a deal for Rice, with the final details surrounding the structure of the add-ons believed to have delayed his £105m switch from West Ham United.

Timber, meanwhile, is heading to the Emirates Stadium from Ajax, with Mikel Arteta's side thought to have beaten a host of clubs to the Dutchman's signature during the summer window.

According to the Evening Standard, Arsenal are expecting to secure both deals in the next 24 hours to allow the duo to board the plane for the club's USA tour.

The report claims that both have already completed their medical examinations, with Timber expected to cost last season's Premier League runners-up in the region of £38.5m.

Arsenal have already made one signing during the summer window, with Germany international Kai Havertz making the switch to the club from Chelsea.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners are expected to secure Rice's signature on Friday, with all of the paperwork now ready to be signed.

Plettenberg claims that the overall cost of the deal could eventually reach £120m with various add-ons, with West Ham holding firm on their valuation.

The England international was in impressive form for the Hammers during the 2022-23 campaign, featuring on 50 occasions in all competitions, contributing five goals and four assists in the process.

Rice scored once and provided one assist in 11 outings in the Europa Conference League, meanwhile, as David Moyes's side secured the trophy, beating Fiorentina in the final.

Manchester City were also in the race to sign the former Chelsea youngster before ultimately deciding that the deal would be too expensive.

Timber, meanwhile, was heavily linked with Manchester United last summer, with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag said to be keen on a reunion with the Netherlands international.

The 22-year-old signed a new contract with Ajax last August, extending his deal until June 2025, but his time with the Amsterdam giants is now coming to an end.

Arsenal will begin their pre-season tour of the United States against MLS All-Stars on July 19, while they will also take on Man United and Barcelona before returning to Europe. body check tags ::
