Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a January move for Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard as a replacement for Mesut Ozil.
Unai Emery left Ozil out of Monday's Premier League clash against Manchester United, and it is understood that the Gunners will look to loan out the experienced attacker at the start of 2020.
According to El Desmarque, the capital giants will then attempt to sign Odegaard, who has impressed on loan at Real Sociedad in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Norwegian turned down a host of interest to join Madrid from Stromsgodset in 2015, making his first-team debut for the Spanish giants on the final weekend of the 2014-15 campaign.
The attacker has struggled to make the breakthrough at the Bernabeu, however, and has spent time on loan with both Heerenveen and Vitesse in order to further his development.
Madrid are said to value Odegaard - also linked with Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers - in the region of £71m as his contract does not expire until the summer of 2023.
The youngster has scored twice and contributed two assists in seven La Liga outings for Sociedad at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
