Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out the possibility of new players arriving at the Emirates Stadium before the deadline passes on Friday night.
The French boss has added Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla to his squad already this summer.
However, having seen his side fail to score for the second game in succession at Stoke City this afternoon, Wenger revealed that his club are hoping to be "active" in the transfer market.
"I don't rule it out. We are active, we have eyes open and there could still be some action in the transfer market," he told Sky Sports News.
The Gunners were reportedly eager to sign Nuri Sahin, who eventually opted to join Liverpool on loan from Real Madrid.
