Barcelona are reportedly lining up a £45m move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot before the Spanish transfer window closes on August 31.
Rabiot's future with the French champions remains uncertain with his contract due to expire next year, and Barcelona are understood to be leading the race for his signature.
The Spanish title holders have already brought in the likes of Malcom, Arthur, Arturo Vidal and Clement Lenglet this summer, but Mundo Deportivo reports that they are willing to spend another £45m in order to beat their rivals to Rabiot.
The 23-year-old would be available on a free transfer next summer if he fails to agree a new contract with PSG, although the player is open to an exit before then while PSG are considering cashing in on the Frenchman.
Rabiot has also been linked with Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but both the English and Italian transfer windows have now closed, leaving Barca as the most likely destination should a deal be agreed this month.
The report also claims that PSG are considering trying to take Ivan Rakitic or Sergio Busquets in the opposite direction as a replacement for Rabiot.
