Barcelona have reportedly identified AS Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe as a potential replacement for Neymar.
It has been claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to meet the Brazilian's release clause of £195.2m in a deal which would obliterate the current world transfer record.
The Catalan giants do not want to lose Neymar, but it would provide new boss Ernesto Valverde with a huge warchest to strengthen his squad and according to the Daily Mail, Mbappe would be on his wishlist.
Real Madrid and Arsenal allegedly lead the race for the Monaco teenager, who contributed 26 goals in 44 appearances last season, and they are both prepared to pay over £100m for his signature.
However, any funds generated from the sale of Neymar would leave Barcelona perfectly placed to sign the 18-year-old ahead of their arch rivals and the Premier League outfit.
PSG appear to be the only club in the running to sign Neymar, who has spent the last four years at Camp Nou.
