Al-Ahli reportedly have their sights set on signing at least one of two Brazilian forwards from the Premier League.

In their first campaign back in the Saudi Pro League, Al-Ahli were able to earn a third-placed finish, securing continental football for next season.

The PIF-owned club were helped by some major acquisitions ahead of 2023-24, with Edouard Mendy, Gabri Veiga, Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino among the fresh faces linking up with the team.

However, having finished as many as 31 points adrift of champions Al-Hilal, there is a desire to further add to Matthias Jaissle's squad.

With Allan Saint-Maximin having joined Fenerbahce, there is a space in the group for another high-profile player, and it appears that glances are being made towards England's top flight.

Jesus on Al-Ahli shortlist

According to Al-Riyadiyah, Arsenal attacker Gabriel Jesus is being considered for a potential approach.

In his two years at the Emirates Stadium, Jesus has contributed 19 goals and 15 assists from his 69 appearances in all competitions.

Although that is viewed as a respectable return, chipping in with just four goals from 27 outings in the top flight last season has effectively left Arsenal open to offers for the Brazil international.

With three years left on his contract, Jesus may not be in any rush to give up on holding down a regular spot in the Gunners starting lineup.

From Arsenal's perspective, though, a lucrative offer would give them extra financial firepower to sign a world-class number nine to challenge Kai Havertz.

Richarlison also being considered

The report adds that, as well as Jesus, Tottenham Hotspur frontman Richarlison has been identified as a possible target by Jaissle.

Richarlison finds himself in a near-identical position in North London, posting respectable numbers without being regarded as the standout first choice for his position.

As many as 15 goals and eight assists have come from 66 appearances in all competitions, but Spurs are open to receiving bids for a player who has two years left on his current terms.

Jaissle is expected to give his support to a proposal being presented for one of the two players in the foreseeable future. body check tags ::
