New Arsenal signing Nacho Monreal has revealed that he spoke at length with Santi Cazorla before deciding to join the Gunners.
The Spain full-back, who made his debut against Stoke City yesterday, impressed manager Arsene Wenger with his transition into the English game.
He also said that he was excited to be reunited with his former Malaga teammate Cazorla.
"I spoke to Santi, we had a long conversation about things," Monreal told Arsenal's official website.
"He had very positive things to say. He said that the club was a massive club, the people are great and it's really just a big family.
"As there is a familiar face in Santi, I am a lot calmer about things. Having shared a dressing room with someone who has already made this journey [from Malaga to Arsenal] is a good feeling. Now it's my turn."
Monreal also admitted that he had watched videos of Arsenal in the past and always admired their style of play.
