Dani Ceballos has reportedly held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over his future.
The Spain international joined Arsenal on loan during the summer transfer window after being deemed surplus to requirements at Madrid for the 2019-20 campaign.
As it stands, Ceballos is due to return to the Bernabeu at the end of the season, although there have been suggestions that the Gunners are keen on a permanent deal.
According to El Desmarque, the 23-year-old met with Perez last week to discuss his future, and the midfielder is hopeful that he will be allowed to move to the Emirates Stadium on a permanent basis next summer.
Ceballos - said to be valued in the region of £34m by his parent club - has scored once and contributed two assists in 11 outings for Unai Emery's side this term.
The former Real Betis youngster was used on 34 occasions by Los Blancos during the 2018-19 campaign but was allowed to depart ahead of the current season despite his team's lack of midfield options.
