Lille striker Jonathan David has confirmed that he holds a desire to play in the Premier League amid links with Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Canada international has enjoyed another prolific season with the Ligue 1 champions despite their mid-table standing, banking 16 goals in 33 matches across all tournaments.

David's agent revealed in December that the striker is preparing to leave Lille in the summer window, with Arsenal and Liverpool both rumoured to be keeping tabs on his future.

The striker has now added fuel to the fire surrounding a possible move to England, telling Telefoot: "He [my agent] said what he said. I'm under contract at LOSC. The most important thing for me is to finish the season as well as possible.

"What happens after that, we'll see. The Premier League attracts everyone. It's the most competitive league in the world. It's a really good league."

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old, whose contract with Lille does not expire until 2025. body check tags ::
