Arsenal defender Johan Djourou is reportedly close to a move away from the club, with Hannover keen on signing the player.
The Swiss international is yet to feature for the Gunners in the Premier League so far this season, having failed to earn a place ahead of Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.
The 25-year-old, who has only appeared twice for the North Londoners in the current campaign, has also been linked with Serie A outfit Napoli.
However, it is the Bundesliga club who are in pole position to acquire the services of Djourou, with manager Jorg Schmadtke firmly believing that the centre-back can help bolster their defensive options alongside the signing of Serbian Gojko Kacar.
Djourou is currently Arsenal's longest-serving player, having joined the team in 2004.
