Italian club Fiorentina are reportedly preparing to offer Marouane Chamakh an escape route from his stagnant Arsenal career.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal rejected a loan offer from Fiorentina in January as they would prefer a permanent deal to be reached.
Arsenal could be set to get their wish as the Serie A side are expected to return with an offer of £6m for the stiker.
Chamakh has been used sparingly by Arsene Wenger this season, during which the 28-year-old has only managed to score one goal in the Premier League.
The forward arrived at the Emirates on a free transfer from Bordeaux in the summer of 2010.
