Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has claimed that he does not expect Jerome Boateng to leave the club this month amid links with a move to Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on securing a defender in this window, with Juventus duo Merih Demiral and Daniele Rugani mentioned as potential options.
Boateng, who attracted interest from Manchester United in 2018, has also been suggested as a possible candidate.
Flick told The Mirror: "Jerome is a Bayern player. He has trained well during the winter break.
"I can't wait to see what the next few weeks will be like. I'm not worrying about if he'll leave the club or not. I can't imagine that at the moment."
Arteta is unlikely to receive any financial backing in the current transfer window due to Arsenal splashing out a lofty £137m over the summer.
