Thierry Henry has suggested that Arsenal can win the Premier League if they sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The Gunners have been linked with the French striker throughout this summer's transfer window, with reports claiming that the Spanish giants would be willing to consider an offer of £45m.
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been Arsenal's only major signing so far this summer, but Henry believes that his former side can secure a first league title since 2004 if they can secure Benzema's signature.
Henry told talkSPORT: "I always say it's their year but there is a genuine buzz around the place right now. I think they can challenge this year for real if they stay injury-free.
"Giroud alone as a striker there – you can't win the league. You need another type of striker and I think that if they can get Benzema, suddenly they are a real title contender and also in the Champions League."
Arsenal kick off the new Premier League season at home to West Ham United on Sunday.
