Isco has seemingly opened the door for a summer departure from Real Madrid by admitting that he is "not very content" at the club.
The Spanish midfielder has held his own among the star-studded names at Los Blancos this term but does not fit into Carlo Ancelotti's lineup when Real are injury free.
The 23-year-old has made 46 appearances for Madrid this season, but James Rodriguez immediately regained his place upon returning from the sidelines last month.
He is quoted by a Spanish TV station as saying: "I am not very content, I thought I was playing well."
Isco turned down Manchester City to move to Real two years ago and it is thought that the Citizens could reignite their interest in the summer.
However, their Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are also believed to have been put on alert by Isco's admission that he is unhappy at the Bernabeu.
