Juventus have reportedly moved ahead of Arsenal at the front of the queue to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old during the summer transfer window, but ultimately did not meet Lyon's asking price and instead signed Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid on deadline day.
Arsenal retain an interest in the creative midfielder, but Tuttosport reports that Juventus are now leading the race for his signature.
The Italian champions are understood to have chosen the signing of Federico Chiesa over Aouar during the summer, but are now considering a January swoop for the France international.
Aouar recently insisted that he is happy to stay at Lyon despite such intense speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The Lyon academy product has scored 25 goals and created 27 more in 142 appearances for the first team, including one goal in five outings so far this term.
