Lucas Torreira has no interest in cutting his loan spell with Atletico Madrid short and returning to Arsenal in January, according to the player's agent.
The 24-year-old was shipped out to the Spanish capital after falling out of favour under Mikel Arteta, but Torreira has struggled for regular game time at Atletico as well.
The Uruguay international has only made two starts in La Liga for Diego Simeone's side, and the Atletico manager reportedly wants to send Torreira back to Arsenal next month.
However, Torreira's agent Pablo Bentancur has affirmed that his client will be staying put for now, telling journalist Gianluca Di Marzio: "Lucas is serene and has nothing in his mind beyond continuing with Atletico. He's ending his period of adaptability."
The Arsenal midfielder was linked with a move back to Serie A in the summer, but Torreira remains on the books at the Emirates Stadium, where he is tied down until 2023.
Arteta refused to comment on the South American's situation when asked by reporters in a recent press conference.
