Arsenal are reportedly planning to tie youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles down to a new long-term contract.
The 20-year-old has been part of the Gunners setup since the age of six and has 18 months remaining on his current deal, which is estimated to be worth just £1,000 a week.
The midfielder has notched up nine appearances for Arsene Wenger's side in the Premier League so far this season and was drafted in as cover at left-back over Christmas when Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal were out with injuries.
According to ESPN, Wenger is keen to reward Maitland-Niles for his performances this season and will offer him improved terms and an extended stay.
Maitland-Niles made his professional debut for Arsenal in December 2014, becoming the second-youngest player to represent the club in the Champions League.
