Manchester City are reportedly in line for a £4m windfall should Arsenal sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona on a permanent basis.
The Gunners brought in the 25-year-old on an initial six-month loan last week with the option to buy the midfielder outright in the summer.
Barcelona want £20m for the once-capped Spain international, who was previously on City's books between 2011 and 2013 without making a Premier League appearance.
The Sun reports that a fifth of that fee will go straight to the Citizens as part of a sell-on clause inserted in his contract when he arrived at Barcelona six years ago.
City were paid £3m for Suarez and they are said to have received a further £800,000 for every 10 first-team appearances he made for the Catalan giants, up to 100 games.
