Manchester City have reportedly identified Arsenal's Nuno Tavares as a potential transfer target.

The 21-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Benfica last summer and has been a regular for the Gunners this season, making 14 appearances in all competitions.

The Portugal Under-21s international has a contract with Mikel Arteta's side until June 2025, but according to ESPN, Man City are keen to explore the idea of bringing him to the Etihad Stadium.

The report claims that the English champions have watched the defender on a number of occasions during the 2021-22 campaign and have been impressed by his performances.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is Man City's only senior left-back, and Pep Guardiola's side are said to be determined to add another player in that area of the field during next summer's transfer window.

Tavares made 41 appearances for Benfica before arriving at Arsenal in an £8m deal.
