Teenage attacker Moise Kean reportedly rejected the chance to join Arsenal in this summer's transfer window in favour of a move to Everton.
The 19-year-old is said to be closing in on a switch to the Toffees, who are believed to be paying an initial £29m to sign the Italy international from the Serie A champions.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal also made an attempt to land the striker ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, but Kean turned down the Gunners as they could not guarantee first-team football.
The report claims that Arsenal boss Unai Emery even contacted Kean's agent Mino Raiola to ascertain whether it would be possible for the London club to secure a deal.
However, the three-time Italy international is now seemingly heading for Goodison Park in a transfer which could reach £36m.
Kean scored seven times in 17 appearances for the Old Lady last season.
