Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill believes that striker Nicklas Bendtner may wish to return to parent club Arsenal following his loan stint with the Black Cats.
The Danish international has made an impressive impact on Wearside, netting four goals in his last five Premier League matches, including a goal in Sunderland's 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Saturday.
"I've not thought about his future at all," Sky Sports News quotes O'Neill as saying. "I've not mentioned it to him, there's no point in putting pressure on anyone at the moment.
"He's played very well and may think that with that type of performance he's still capable of breaking into Arsenal's squad."
Sunderland currently sit ninth in the league table.
