Mesut Ozil's Arsenal future has reportedly been plunged into doubt after his failure to even make the substitutes bench against Liverpool on Saturday evening.
The German missed the start of the season due to a security threat involving himself and teammate Sead Kolasinac after an attempted carjacking of the Gunners pair.
Kolasinac did appear on the bench at Anfield, however, and is back involved with the first team.
According to the Daily Mail, Ozil has been back in training since before the 2-1 victory over Burnley, but was unavailable due to illness.
This week, however, Ozil has trained fully with the first team and was merely not selected by manager Unai Emery.
Despite being the Gunners' highest earner on £350,000 a week, Ozil has found himself out of favour since Arsene Wenger's departure, having featured only 24 times in the Premier League last season.
Clubs thought to be interested in Ozil include Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Valencia, but his salary is likely to be an issue in any potential move away from the Emirates.
