Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly opened talks with Lyon over French midfielder Houssem Aouar.
The 22-year-old is seemingly viewed as a leading target for Arsenal, but the Gunners are struggling to come to an agreement with Lyon over a transfer fee.
The French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas recently confirmed that Mikel Arteta's side had made a "timid" offer for the midfielder, which was swiftly rejected.
Arsenal are believed to be desperately attempting to offload players in order to secure the funds required to sign Aouar, but according to L'Equipe, PSG have now entered the race.
The report claims that Thomas Tuchel's side are in negotiations over a potential deal for the former France Under-21 international, who has a contract with Les Gones until June 2023.
Aulas recently suggested that Aouar would not be leaving this summer unless a deal was agreed by Friday.
