Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has joined his fellow teammate Andres Iniesta in talking up the potential arrival of Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp but it is understood that no official approach has been made to the North London club.
"I have followed his career and he has become a very good player," Pique told El Mundo Deportivo.
"He is physically very strong and is good with the ball at his feet. We are open to his arrival," he added. "If he comes, and from what I have read he could do, we would love to have him."
Barca boss Tito Vilanova has refused to confirm or deny interest in the midfielder.
