Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly both interested in signing Bayern Munich attacker Leroy Sane next year.
There is currently huge uncertainty surrounding the Germany international's future at Allianz Arena, as his current contract is due to expire at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Discussions between Sane and Bayern over a possible new deal are said to have stalled, which could lead to him leaving the Munich giants on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.
As it stands, foreign clubs will be able to speak to Sane in January, and according to Fichajes, both Arsenal and Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing him back to the Premier League.
The report claims that Newcastle United are also in the mix, although the Magpies will likely need to secure European action for next season to stand a chance of winning the race for Sane.
Arsenal, Chelsea 'both interested in Sane'
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is allegedly determined to boost his squad with the addition of an experienced wide player, and Sane would certainly fit the bill, with the German also proven in the Premier League.
Chelsea were incredibly active during the recent transfer window, but with a number of players expected to be moved on over the next 12 months, room could be made in their squad for the addition of Sane.
The 28-year-old has found it difficult to break into the Bayern first XI in the early stages of the 2024-25 campaign, being restricted to just four appearances in all competitions, only managing one goal.
Sane has featured in just two of Bayern's six Bundesliga matches this season, but he did score off the bench against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League last month and was also involved against Aston Villa.
Would Sane be a good signing for Arsenal, Chelsea?
All of the signs are pointing towards Sane leaving Bayern next year, with the forward in need of a fresh challenge.
Sane has an impressive record at Allianz Arena, scoring 49 goals and registering 50 assists in 179 appearances in all competitions, winning three Bundesliga titles in the process.
The forward previously played in the Premier League for Manchester City, boasting a record of 39 goals and 43 assists in 135 matches in all competitions, including 25 goals and 29 assists in 90 Premier League fixtures.
Sane still has plenty of football left in him, and on a free transfer, he would be incredible value for money.
The attacker is no longer an automatic pick for Bayern, and he is believed to be open to discussing a return to the Premier League for the 2025-26 campaign, with Arsenal and Chelsea seemingly at the head of the queue for his signature. body check tags ::
